Predictions for Friday 2/04/2022

 I meant to put these predictions out last night but with the snowstorm, so many appeared to be canceled so I did not, but I am posting now, and hopefully, the games will all get scheduled.  The predictions match up with my rating posts from the previous two weeks so I don't feel like I am cheating to put these out there.

The reason for these predictions was two-fold: 1) I need to double-check my rating model and 2) I challenged a yahoo who said the model sucked to predict the games himself but he has disappeared.  He also said that ANYONE can predict 80% of all games based upon looking at records, etc.  I guess he did not have time enough to pony up his predictions.

Here are the games that were played with the score and spread.  Teams in red (four) were incorrect predictions.  I did get 32 of the 36 games that were reported correct in the winner and very close in the spread in many cases.  That is 89% accuracy for a number of close games.

Here is my original list of predictions.  I will post the outcome, as games are rescheduled.

Here's are last night's winners and I picked 16 out of 18 (89%).  Unfortunately, MSHSAA only reported 18 of the 201 games scheduled so a lot of games were canceled or just have not been reported yet.  I should have known, not to pick against Smithville, where Coach Eric Benneka has them doing great things.
