Missouri Boys and Girls Combined Basketball Ratings - What school has the best overall basketball program? 3/10/2022

 There are a whole lot of rivalries in the state of Missouri basketball for both boys and girls, but I only know a handful of these rivalries.  I know of a few in St. Louis and a few outstate.   Out in West County, the Rockwood schools of Eureka, Marquette, and Lafayette go at it in both boys and girls sports, like life depends on it.  Kirkwood and Webster Groves have that same kind of rivalry.  Down in the southwest part of the state, Kickapoo and Nixa have a fierce rivalry.

You can sense the rivalry in Twitter feeds.  Shots are fired across the bow from one school to another and back.  It reminds me of the tales of the War of 1812 where the US and British warships would blast each other with cannonball after cannonball until the masts were broken and the ships were on fire.  It didn't matter how badly your ship was damaged as long as the enemy's ship was sinking.  Those are the kind of rivalries that occur across the nation in small and large towns, between neighboring towns or neighboring schools.

So Gramps Braggin Rights ratings cover both boys and girls basketball teams.  What about a combined rating?  What if Gramps took and added the boy's and the girl's basketball ratings together to identify the best basketball program in the state?

Well, here you go!  I am sure this will add fire to those rivalries and more shots will be taken across the bows.  The cannons might be destroyed but they will be firing buckshot, even as the ships are sinking.

Which school has the best overall program in the state?  NIXA! and their hated rival Kickapoo is second, just a whisker behind.  That will get the juices going down in the Southwest!
