Eureka Girls Basketball Statistics - 2000-2022 June 9,2022

I have been going back through the Post-Dispatch High School basketball stats for the Eureka boys and, now, have pulled up the Eureka girls statistics for Coach Jim Alsup.  Jim won a state championship back in 2000 and has had some real good teams and rolled up 400 victories in those 22 years, nearly 20 wins a season.

This past year's team was young and brings back several good seniors and a number of great juniors, but I won't get into that right now.  I just wanted to drop some of the stats summaries into the blog so that people can see the excellence in ball players over those 20 years.

Once I pull up each year's statistics, I run all the calculations (Value Player System, Efficiency, Effective Field Goal percentage) and then combine all the years and summarize each player's career.  I pulled the top ten for all statistics categories (points, points per game, rebounds, steals, etc).  This list does not include pre-2000 Eureka girls, which I hope to add at some time.

The second slide is the top 50 scorers in the 2000-2022 era and there have been some great ones, including the Hillyer sisters, Alex (2011-2014) and Kate (2018-2021).  Interestingly enough, four of the current players are in the top 50 and they still have a year or two to move up the list.

I will post the individual stats leaders and link those to this blog at a later date.
