Gramps Braggin' Rights Missouri Boy's Class Six Basketball Ratings by District - 2/10/2021
As I stated earlier, I am not fully caught up on all teams in all classes but with district seeding meetings (some have already occurred) and tournaments right around the corner, I am posting what I have.
The class five and six boys and girls both deal with super districts this year. With the number of districts cut in half from 16 to 8, there will be more competition and a longer district tournament. Winners go directly to the state quarterfinals.
Here are the Class Six boys ratings by district and my comments about each district:
District 1: SLUH, led by Saint University recruit Nick Kramer, will take this championship.
District 2: CBC is too much for Parkway West or Eureka but you still have to play the game.
District 3: At the beginning of the season, I thought Pattonville might surprise Chaminade in this district but a one-horse cart (Kellen Thames) does not have a chance against the five-horse chariot of the Red Devils.
District 4: Troy has been strong all year. They might be challenged by a Zumwalt team but don't bet on it.
District 5: The boys and girls district 5 will be a battle between NIxa and Kickapoo and all I can say is that Nixa will win one and Kickapoo will win the other but I am not sure which. LOL
District 6: Lee's Summit should handle a tough district.
District 7: Blue Springs is my favorite in district 7
District 8: Yikes. Could you pack any more top-quality teams into one district? The toughest district in the state. Put money on Staley but it will be a full-out battle with Liberty or one of these other top teams to get a championship.
